2022 Camp Shamineau Travel Details

We look forward to traveling with your camper(s) this Sunday, June 26. Church on Sunday will be at Centennial Park for the annual Summer Party.

We invite you and your camper(s) to attend the service so that we can pray for safe travel and for their time at camp. Service at Centennial Park begins at 10:00 am.
Lunch will be provided following the service at the Centennial Park shelter. Campers will eat at 11:15 am, and then load the vans at 11:45 am. Campers depart Centennial Park at noon.

***ONLY CAMPERS THAT HAVE A PERMISSION SLIP TO RIDE WITH GCC WILL BE PERMITTED ON THE VAN. IF WE DO NOT HAVE A PARENT/GAURDIAN SIGNATURE, THE CAMPER WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RIDE WITH THE CHURCH TO CAMP***

Campers will need money for:
- Supper on Sunday night (camp will not be providing food that evening)
- Lunch for the ride home on Friday. Campers will be dismissed on Friday, July 1, at 11:30 am, and picked up from our volunteer drivers at that time.
Full Schedule:
- Sunday, June 26
  - 9:45 am – Campers arrive at Centennial Park on Sunday, June 26.
  - 10:00 am - Prayer for campers at Centennial Park
  - 11:15 am – Lunch at Centennial Park Shelter
  - 11:45 am – Vans are loaded *Only campers with signed permission slips will be allowed to ride with the church transportation
  - 12:00 pm – Vans depart for Camp Shamineau. We will have restroom breaks during the trip every 1-1.5 hrs.
  - To Be Determined - Campers will be eating supper BEFORE they arrive at camp. Please bring money for supper.
  - Friday, July 1
    - 11:30 am – Campers are dismissed from camp and picked up at Camp Shamineau by church volunteers.
    - 12:00 pm – Campers will go out for lunch - they will need to have money for that
    - 12:30 pm – Campers drive home (restroom breaks every 1-1.5 hrs)
    - 6:00 pm – CAMPERS NEED TO BE PICKED UP AT GRACE COMMUNITY CHURCH
