Scott Barber - Pastor

History

Scott grew up in rural South Central Nebraska (Kearney, NE). In 2008 he and his family moved to Minnesota and in August 2011 Scott began his ministry as the Senior Pastor of Grace Community Church. Scott is married to his wonderful wife Jane and they have one son, Ian.

Interests and Hobbies

Scott loves to be with Jane and Ian. He is also an active guy who likes sports, strategy games, being outside, hanging out with people, and eating tasty food (especially meat).

Passions

Scott is passionate about seeing lives completely changed by Jesus Christ. He loves to see the gospel practically speak to and transform every part of a person’s everyday life. In addition, he believes that the gospel does not just intend to change individuals but entire communities of believers whose transformation ripples into our local towns and cities. Scott is determined to join God’s Spirit in creating communities of people being transformed by the gospel and multiplying gospel transformation in their local communities and beyond.

Scott has also become particularly passionate about and interested in church-based leadership development and developing healthy congregations. These have become particular areas of research, study, prayer and long-term ministry aspirations.

Galatians 2:20 (ESV) is a meaningful verse in Scott’s life.

Lori Stainer - Secretary

Lori Stainer works part time at Grace Community Church as the church secretary and part time at the Public Library in Fulda. Lori lives in Fulda with her husband, Jim. Their son, Charlie, is in the Navy and their daughter, Christy, is a junior at SMSU majoring in Culinolgy.
